Experience Takes Time! And Patience!

Clients remind me of so many important (and true) things!

Yesterday, during our 2025 Q1 Offsite, (part of our regular cadence of tiered management meetings at Advanced Machine & Engineering Co. ), Steve Baxter, Plant Manager, reminded us all of something that is unbelievably important:

“There are no shortcuts to gaining experience…you need to be patient!”

Today, if you are frustrated that new (and newer) team members aren’t able to do exactly what you want them to, please remember that learning, ability and confidence, only comes from doing. From experience. So, make and take the time to figure out how to give them the experiences they need and then make sure they get that experience.

And if you are frustrated with yourself because you are making as much progress learning something you want to, please spend more time on practicing what you want to get better at! You need to be patient with yourself as well as you gain experience!

Thank you Steve for inspiring all of us!!

Noah Goellner … what a great team and a great day!
